Nominations for Board of Director Positions 
Board members are elected for two year terms unless they are filling a position that was vacated before the two year term is up.

Lynda Koe, Robert O’Rourke, Brian Weadick, and Landon King will be staying on for another year.

Board members at the end of their two year terms are; Cole Parsons, David Wasylciw, Dylan Price, Ben McDonald & Margot Flemming. We would like to thank them for all of their time and effort ensuring that our Club keeps running well!

We have the following board positions to fill:

• President
• Vice President
• Treasurer
• Secretary
• Director
• Director

Board members at the end of their terms are able to be nominated again to stay on for another term.

Anyone who paid their Yellowknife Curling Club 2022-2023 season membership fee or associate membership fee can nominate, be nominated and/or vote in new directors.

Duties of a director at large might include:

• attending monthly meetings, never missing more than 2 months in a row (meeting dates are discussed and can be rearranged to suit most board members)
• becoming a signatory to sign off on documents
• discussing what direction the YKCC should choose to further the sport curling and other big picture topics
• occasionally receiving and sending emails pertaining to the board of directors

Don’t curl but love the sport and want to get involved? With an associate membership you can still become a board member!

Each board member brings unique skills and perspectives to the table and together endeavor to ensure the efficient operation and continued success of the YKCC. The board meets once a month at the Club.

Even if you aren’t interested in taking on an official role at the club we would be glad for you to sit in on the meeting to find out what is happening at the YKCC.
