Before you register - here is a quick recap of our weekly leagues!

Monday:

Seniors League (1:30 - 3:00 pm)

A drop-in league for anyone 55+. This afternoon league typically plays 4 - 6 ends of curling before heading upstairs for coffee and some social time. Great way to meet up with friends while getting some exercise!

We ask that individuals only playing in this league purchase an associate membership at the beginning of the season, or they can sign a drop-in waiver. After that, it is $5 every time you come out.

Little Rockers and Junior Program

Little Rockers (5-9 years) and Juniors (10 years +), a junior program designed to help kids get a start in curling. Juniors is from 5-6:30 pm and Little Rockers is from 5:30-6:30.

Youth Curling Season begins on October 15, 2018 at 5 pm.   New and returning curlers are welcome.

Prior to any Youth curlers participating in the program the following events have to occur:

  • A youth must be registered and have their fees paid (this is completed on-line)  There will be a person available on the October 15, 2018 to assist with registration
  • The Emergency contact Information Form and the Parent Code of Conduct Form must be completed and signed by the parents/guardians of the youth. These will be available on October 15, 2018

If you have any questions, please contact the YKCC Coordinator (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) as we are currently without a Junior Coordinator.

Adult Learn to Curl League (7:00 - 9:00 pm) - October to December 2018

Open Doubles League (7:00 - 9:00 pm) - January to March 2019

New this season is the Open Doubles League! Did you love watching the Olympics and want to give this fast-paced game a try? We will be launching this league later this winter. Stay tuned for more details.

Tuesday: 7:00 - 9:00 pm

One of our two more competitive leagues - curlers in this league have mastered basic curling fundamentals and focus more on strategy and team development - communication, sweeping, etc. Games are typically 8 ends. Although it is a more competitive league, it is still a fun, supportive environment.

This mid-week league often features teams with more than 4 members and rotating rosters to accommodate busy schedules. All skill levels are welcome - particularly beginner and intermediate curlers - for these weekly 6-end games. Perfect for a crew from the office who are looking to throw together a team!

Friday: 7:00 - 8:45; 9:00 - 10:45 pm

This social league often boasts the largest enrollment of all our leagues and usually means there are two draws every Friday. If you have friends you would like to see more often, this league is the perfect opportunity for a guaranteed weekly get-together! Friday nights feature curlers of all skill levels (often within the same team) and is a great introduction to curling in Yellowknife.

Please note: We currently have a full compliment of teams for Friday. No further team registrations will be accecpted for the 2018-2019 season.
